How to identify the purity of natural stone sinks?
An important factor to consider when identifying the purity of the stone sinks is its price.
Low price may indicate that the product is not made from a true stone. Instead, it may be formed from, for example, mixture of concrete, plaster and a dye to make the material look authentic. Needless to say the durability of such a product is drastically lowered. Another way to identify a fake sink is to simply tap it. The sound that a natural stone produces differs from the sound produced by an imitation. In fact, concrete sink molds (also known as Terazzo) that imitate the natural stone sinks are quite popular. They do not however offer the same qualities as the ones made from solid stone.
