Other storm-related updates…
-> The Jacksonville International Airport remains open, but expect many individual flights to be canceled. However as of 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, AirJTA public bus service was suspended and is not expected to resume until Friday, August 22.
-> Almost all area schools are closed today and it seems likely that they will be closed on Friday. Stay tuned for announcements about further school closings.
-> Pursuant to the Executive Order from the Governor and Section 4 of Executive Order 08-171, the State has granted approval to the Duval County Supervisor of Elections to suspend early voting for Wednesday, August 20th and Thursday, August 21st with the possibility of extending the suspension to include Friday, August 22nd.
