Jaguars win close pre-season opener

It’s almost hard to believe that football is back already. Well, it is. And the Jaguars pulled it off tonight, winning their first pre-season football game of the year Saturday night. Two touchdowns and two field goals made up the Jaguar’s 20 points in their 20-17 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.

Backup quarterback Cleo Lemon looked decent and he put together some nice plays. Matt Jones had three catches, and Maurice Jones-Drew was sharp with five nice carries.

    hey =- new to blogging but wanted to reply-
    dont know about cleo yet, but i thnk mike tice may be able to improve him. agree that matt looked a lot better, maybe his head is clear :)
    that phantom call on chauncys 59 yd run made me wonder again about home field refs doin a gimme to wash. loved that fumble rec by heyward and int by nelson - theyre looking good. is harvey hit or miss?
