Former Congressman and failed gubernatorial candidate Jim Davis has come out in support of Barack Obama for President. Following his loss to Charlie Crist in 2006, Davis dropped out of the public eye for a while. But now he’s reentering politics and offering to campaign for the Illinois Senator.
Davis says that he actually voted for Obama in the primary back in January, but he’s remained publicly netural on the race until this point. Today he told the media that Obama is “the leader we need.”
