On Wednesday the University of North Florida will be breaking ground on a new dorm complex called Osprey Fountains. The facility will be able to house 1,000 students and is going to be located over at Kernan and Alumni Drive.

This five-story complex is expected to cost nearly $90 million and take at least a year and a half to complete. The Haskell Company was picked to work on this project.

Long considered a commuter school, UNF is attempting to redefine itself as a more traditional University. That includes a greater interest in on-campus housing options as well as expanding recreational and dining options for students.
