His first term in office has not been without controversy, but it seems clear that Mayor Peyton will be re-elected by a wide margin on March 20th.  

We actually like much of what Peyton is doing.  His literacy campaign is admirable, and his administration seems to be doing the best it can with the murder rate and growth management issues.  This could have been a much more interesting race had Mike Weinstein remained in the hunt, but the outcome would probably have been the same. 

Voters will be facing a choice between two candidates on the ballot, Mayor Peyton and Democrat Jackie Brown.  Mayor Peyton’s experience makes him the only viable option, and deserving of your support.
