Tavis Smiley, a nationally syndicated radio host, came into Jacksonville on Friday to speak at the University of North Florida for Black History Month.

Although he did have a somewhat political message, he was pretty funny and entertaining outside of that as well. He also addressed topics relevant to everyone, such as education and political involvement in the black community. However, the most interesting part was probably who he brought with him - that would be Cornell West, the guy with the bushy hairdo in the middle…

Obviously he’s a controversial figure for many people - but hey, it’s not every day Cornell West comes to Jacksonville.

I believe this one applies “Unless each man prodiuses more than he receives, increases his output, there will be less for him than all the others”, doesn’t it?
